The following fix will need to be applied by each user who uses IE7 and Vista. It is pretty simple and takes about a minute to do; each user should be able to make the change themselves if needed. Please send it out to all the centre coordinators and provincial staff that use UNITY. Note that this currently does not apply to CSRs who use the terminal server.

Procedure

1. Start menu, run. Type in 'regedit'
2. Go to the following registry key, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellFolders\Cache - it will read C:\Users\image\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files - in that string change the word 'image' to the windows username of the user, which is normally the first initial + last name of the user. John Doe = jdoe no need for any .hq or .ed or other novell stuff. It should look like this: C:\Users\jdoe\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files
3. Close regedit.
4. Start IE7 and log into UNITY, and test downloading a piece of correspondence to see if it works.
